Center fielder Jason Repko hit 2 doubles at Dolphins Stadium where the Caracas
Leones beat the Burbank Tigers 4 to 2.
Caracas came through with the game-winning runs in the 9th inning scoring 2
runs utilizing 2 base hits. After an out was recorded, Jorge Posada started
the rally when he slapped a one-base hit. Repko came next and he doubled
resulting in a run. Omar Vizquel then hit a deep fly scoring the final run
of the inning. Caracas ended up with 9 hits for the game while Burbank had
4.
Rafael Soriano(3-1) went 2 innings allowing no runs for the win. Soriano got
relief help from Billy Wagner who gained credit for his 28th save. Casey
Janssen(1-5) took the loss in relief.
Caracas now has a record of 81-56. Burbank has a record of 39-98, worst in the
division after the loss.
